资格

Students who are at least 75% of the full-time curriculum (9+ credits for undergraduate 学生s or 7+ credits for graduate 学生s) are automatically billed for the SHIP. All other 学生s should inquire as to their eligibility to purchase the insurance by 联络财务处. 

国际学生: All matriculating international 学生s enrolled in 1+ credit hours are automatically enrolled in the SHIP. Please note that 国际学生 are not allowed to waive the SHIP unless covered by an embassy-sponsored plan, acceptable US-based insurance through a spouse or employer, or covered under a Massachusetts Connector Plan with coverage for medical evacuation and repatriation. If you are covered by an embassy-sponsored health insurance plan and provide the Bursar's Office with your financial guarantee prior to the waiver deadline, 你将不会被SHIP录取.

UMB国际直航 has teamed up with Wellfleet学生 and 大学健康计划(UHP) for the 2023-2024 Academic Year to provide health insurance coverage for our 学生s. The UMB International Student 健康 保险 Plan (SHIP) provides substantial benefits for covered medical expenses at a reasonable cost.

   1. Complete the Login Authentication process and click on "Create Account."

When calling or emailing, please be sure to advise you are a UMB国际直航 学生. 

To "waive" the 学生 health insurance plan, the 学生 must submit an online waiver to the Bursar's Office and certify that they have alternative coverage, 提供计划的实体的名称, the policy number or member identification number, the name of the subscriber or primary enrollee and the relationship of that person to the 学生, and a statement that the coverage is comparable to the coverage required under a SHP plan. Students can access the waiver online through the WISER.
